Accountant

A local accountancy firm based on the northern outskirts of Newcastle with free parking and easy access on public transport are looking to welcome an Accountant to join their friendly and personable team.

With your own specialist niche portfolio of clients to support, you will enjoy a client facing role where your good communication skills will be used to liaise and provide advise. Once the necessary information has been gathered you will be responsible for the preparation of statutory accounts, along with full analysis on income. Some clients hold a Limited status, with others established as Partnerships.

Most of your client contact will be over the phone and e-mail but there will be some onsite visits as you develop a relationship over time. This role will appeal to those who like working with the same clients each year (your portfolio will also grow) and have a sense of ownership of their work.

We are looking for an experienced Accountant who is working in public practice with UK based experience. Qualification is less important than experience but those qualified are welcome, with progression readily available to Manager for the ambitious types.

Working with accountancy based software we would look for you to be familiar with at least one accounts package such as  Iris, Xero, Sage CCH.

The role offers an element of hybrid working, once probation is passed in order to give you the best training and induction into the firm. Start and finish times are flexible enabling you to juggle home life commitments with work without feeling any pressure.
